The simplest understanding of this approach is… teach students how to think/observe/participate like a media critic / artist / scientist / anthropologist / engineer / author / sociologist / etc

 

A major pedagogical shift with Evolutions is what defines “the curriculum” - in the traditional model a large focus is placed on specific content knowledge. For us, we move the focus to more competency/skills based. Can students effectively go through the learning process and show what they can do with the knowledge that they’ve obtained.

We utilize the design process, field work, intentional collaboration, authentic projects, and reflection
